“Their story…..

We met when we were both selling at a car boot sale about 12 years ago. We lost contact but years later reconnected and fell in love.

The proposal story is a funny one .. we were in the car driving, Kevin was eating Haribo jellies, turned to me with the jelly ring and asked me to marry him. I thought he was messing but he later went and asked my mother and brother would it be ok if he proposed.

Wedding preparations…

We didn’t have a theme. I found the preparations quite easy as the big things like florist, photographer, cake and DJ were all part of our package. We were very laid back with it, kind of go with the flow.

The big day…

Our ceremony was so nice. We had a registrar from the HSE marry us. The room looked amazing thanks to the staff of the hotel and the florist. We couldn’t fault it one bit. I had family members sing the songs for the ceremony and the registrar included the children when we were lighting the candles.

We chose the Castle Arch because of the homely feeling we got from it. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us.

Kevin’s favourite part of the day was dinner as he loves his food. He said the food was roasting coming out as opposed to some places he had been the dinner would be cold when it was served. My favourite part of the day was walking into the room with Kevin and David for the cake photo- the room was amazing.

The honeymoon..

We went to Spain for a week just to chill out it was lovely and weather was great.

My biggest tip for any couples out there is just to enjoy everything and try not to stress. Enjoy your day as it goes by so fast.”
